I would like to have some feedback about this ESC. Looks great on the paper but did anyone try it here?

It just became available to the public. But Viper is known for quality equipment.

Great, how is their customer service?

Customer service has been awesome!!! I have 4 of there systems already in race vehicles. I will be swapping all my 1/8 stuff for these as soon as they bring out the motors.

The very little I've had to deal with was great. I've heard good things from another guy as well.

One of the great original selling points for me about their stuff, they offer a 365 day warranty on their ESCs. Nobody does that, nobody. That tells me they know they have a great product.

Might have to rethink getting an rx8. Looks good and a good price as well since it's only $200 WITH a programming box. People have had good luck with the rx8 at my track, but i've read plenty of threads on here about rx8's going bad. This esc looks pretty sturdy as well.

I don't see a better ESC on the paper:

- waterproof
- adjustable BEC (I just regret it won't go up to 8v)
- 220A
- sensored
- good case
- ESC posts similar to xerun which are more convenient than on the RX8
- good warranty (3 times longer than Tekin)
- good looks too
...

This said it's a new product so I hope it won't have too many little problems because it's the very first version.

The other thing: I doubt they are available in Europe

Edit: I did a mistake, they are available in Europe but shops that carry them are very rare

Let us know what do you think!

There has been a few VTX8's prototypes in use here in MN. Heck one even won the MNRC 1/8 electric buggy championship. Very impressed with this ESC, it's a solid contender in the 1/8, 1/10 4wd SCT classes.

Sensored only kills it for me. For those rare occasions your sensor wire comes out you are dead and just lost your race. Novak is same way and I've seen plenty of people DNF because of a sensor wire falling out.

What happens when the sensor wire unplugs while driving with these type of ESC? The car just stops running?

Your car stops moving as the esc is sensored only. Viper may be different but on the Novak's once the sensor wire falls out esc no worky anymore.
