Lipos on a plane??

So Im taking a trip to Cali next month and a day at the beach would be really great but seem to recall past years the nitro fuel and planes or security didnt go well so this time Im planning on e-revo and batteries. Am I safe with Lipos on the plane or just pack a ton of Nimh packs? I have a number of ThunderPower and think some new in the bags that Id hate to have puff or better yet catch fire. Any suggestions or ideas would be great. Thanks

They'll be just fine. IIRC you need to put them in your carry on bag, they won't let you have them in your checked luggage.

It helps to go to the airlines website and print off their policy (carry on only). Not all employees know the rules and sometimes object to C4 looking bricks of plastics with wires sticking out of them being brought on the plane.

It's been said that copy of an R/C magazine helps too. I don't think you should have any problems.

I do it all the time with my job. Check the airlines rules on how many packs you can have (usually 4 per person). Take them out and have them in a separate ziploc bag when you get to the security/x-ray machine. Tell them what they are and they'll need to swab them. Couple minutes later you're on your way. You MUST put them in your carry on. Charger can go in your checked baggage though. Hope this helps.
