charger question?

I am new to the lipo battery technology and was about to charge my gens ace 50c 5000mah battery 2s 1p 7.4V battery with a Prolux Li-Po 4 charger and was wondering if this would be OK. It is a AC/DC 2-4 cell Li-Po microprocessor charger, any tips before I start would be great. The instructions and capabilities are somewhat vague. Thankyou.

Mate plug the balance lead in if it has external balance wires with plug hanging out which is usually a white plug with 3 wires. Other wise it will have 3 bullet style holes into the case where u need to have bullet style lead to plug into all three holes while at the other end of the cable it will have the balance plug to plug into the charger... Charge at 5 amps and set the charged cell voltage to 4.2 per cell and put it on lipo 2 cell charge mode and your set... When u to to discharge the same wiring again and set ur charger to not go lower than 3.0volts per cell... Other than that when u store them don't leave them fully charged or fully discharged but leave them at about half charge and store the voltage just above nominal... 7.6 volts is where I store mine (3.8 per cell).

Any questions let me know

Fordy
