help- Hobbywing 9T 35A esc

Hi Guys,

New HW Brushless Motor Combo 9T + 35A v2 ESC. On Lipo battery no apparent problem. On NIHM, car runs 30 second at full speed, after that it will accelerate to about 1/2 speed max for about 25 yds, then will accelerate to full speed for 25 yds. it will repeat this when I stop & re accelerate, continually.

ESC is set to factory defaults.:(

Check the paperwork/instructions to see if that ESC has a LiPo cutoff setting that you can turn off/on. If it does, you cannot run NiMH with the LiPo cutoff turned on. If you are running NiMH just disable the cutoff, but remember to turn it back on when running LiPo. It's a safeguard to keep from running your expensive and volatile LiPos to a dangerously low level.

HW issue

Really? I asked that same question in a Redcat forum & was told that I could leave the cut off set for Lipo & still run MIHMs. I will try that later today. thx.

& yes Lipo cut off is turned on.

Yeah, the NIMH batts voltage will dip down to the cut off under load. The lipos maintain more of a level voltage.
