Futaba Reciever Input Voltage?

I'm running futaba 603 and 604 recievers and wondered if you can run 2s lipo voltage directly into the reciever.

The only specs I could find says the recievers are 6v, but is that nominal or max voltage?

Futaba's receivers can take a 2s lipo direct only if they are labeled as a "high-voltage" model that can take 8.4v.

The others will need a lipo regulator to set the voltage to a max of 6.

Great info thanks. I didnt know futaba had recievers that were for high voltage.

Here's one example.

A number of us in this area ran a 2 cell Lipo into the 603's and never had any issues. Futaba does not recommend this practice but I think the receivers are tougher than we think. Most times when I recharged my lipo, I'd stop the charge at or just below 8 volts.
