Castle ESC problem....or something else?

Posted this in another thread but no response so I thought I'd try this again with more information.

Losi LST-XXL e-converted with a Losi kit, new Castle MMM ESC, low runtime 1800Kv Castle motor, stock Losi servos (2) with a Spektrum DX3R/SR3100 radio system.

When everything is fine, the truck runs good and the motor runs cool with lots of torque. But what happens is when starting out or even just stopping the truck in the middle of an outing, the controls are switched. Forward is reverse and vice versa. When it first started doing this, I swapped 2 of the wires going to the ESC and it seemed to be ok.....till it switched again.
And sometimes just running it and stopping, it would switch back.

Happened 4-5 times today at the BMX track.

Now heres the kicker.....I found out today there seems to be 2 power modes when this happens. Egs. at the BMX track, I had to switch 2 of the motor wires around right away as it ran in reverse mode before I even got on the track. Ok, run for a while on a 5S lipo, power seems ok, not like when I first ran it a week ago but liveable.

So I drain that battery, put in another 5S lipo (same mah, brand) and lo and behold, I have to switch it again. So I swap wires again and start to run it....hollee shi....I got all my power back. Front end lifts up while cruising along, motor whines at a higher RPM, the thing just motors along.

Halfway into the session, the controls reverse again....sigh. Swap wires and crap, altho controls are normal, its back to "training" mode. So it seems to me anyways. After it happened a few more times, I found that if I run it with the controls reversed for a bit, after stopping, it would magically go back to "normal" and all the power would be available.

Sorry for the long post but its better you know the whole scenario than just bits and pieces.

Oh and one more.....as for things I've tried, all to no avail.

* Contacted Castle, was told it sounded like a transmitter/receiver issue.
altho this system worked fine in another RC setup, I tried another receiver, same thing no difference.

* Re-bind several times, re-calibrate ESC several times, installed a capacitor onto the receiver (I thought maybe because of 2 servo's) check all settings on Castle ESC, even tried older/newer firmware flashes, no diff.

Any other suggestions?

Sure sounds like your transmitter's channel 2 (throttle) direction is getting reversed. Perhaps you're switching models on your radio?

Ok, I'm going to try another radio receiver combo. I'll try my boys Airtronics setup and see what happens.
First I'll try a new bind with a new model instead of going over Model 1 which was my Xray truggy before.
