Did you try recalibrating the ESC? Is this a first time install or did it just stop working? It may not be the ESC. It could be the motor or a bad connection. Need more info.

I have the same thing with my new SV2 that I got.

I went through the full configuration of the ESC (lipo settings, etc..) via the manual configuration method. At the end of the configuration the steering works but not throttle (forward or reverse.)

I found that if you waited long enough that it would eventually turn on then it would go forward when you go reverse and vice versa.

I believe that I just need to reverse the direction of my throttle in my transmitter settings and re-configure the ESC again. I haven't had a chance to try this but will be doing so in the next few days (no time last night.)

I did try another transmitter / receiver from an RTR kit and it does work with my SV2.

I just wanted to post a reply as I found out what my problem was. The trim feature on my radio was off by a lot (I got it used and it was setup for something else.) This was causing the ESC to see that I was always applying throttle and it basically didn't turn on.

If you look at the lights on the ESC when you turn it on you have three lights. If the throttle is in the brake position you have a light on one side with neutral being the middle and throttle being on the other side.

If the throttle on your transmitter is in the neutral position but the light in the receiver is not in the middle then that is likely your problem. Adjusting the trim until I had a proper neutral fixed it for me.

Good luck, hopefully this helps.

EDIT: The main problem I had as I was setting it up incorrectly. I was only using the throttle position during calibration and not throttle and brake. Using the Throttle and Brake Position has fixed it for both transmitter.
