DX3R with lipo

i just bought a DX3R that the guy converted the battery to a 7.4v lipo, i have read that anything over 6.0 will be bad in the long run for the transmitter so i was wondering if i should take the lipo out an replace it with a 6.0 NIMH or LiFe battery?

i picked it up cheap thats the only reason im taking a chance on it since it has the lipo in it

the battery in it is a 2S 7.4V 2000MAH dynamite battery if it makes a difference, if its ok im just gonna leave it cause my DX3.0 has a 3s lipo in it and i really like how long it can go with out charging

its not fully charged 8.4v to 6.4v from full charge to dead.... 7.4v is the nominal value for 2s lipo 3.0v per cell is the lowest you can go without doing harm

in other words dump the lipo because it to much power for the DX3R?
