mod timing

Hey everyone. I use to run a 17.5 non ramping class but, track has decided to run modified. Honestly I am clueless. Is there a thread around that explains the difference? My current gear right now is Team Orion R10 w/ 13.5 pro race, Orion servo, Reedy shorty lipo and it's installed on my Tamiya TA06. I appreciate everyones opinions thanks.

For ESC timing I would go up two timing increments (if you don't use the programer they go up in set ammounts last I checked) every time, check temps and if it's too hot, go down one increment. This way you'll cover more ground faster. I believe you can also set a timing "turbo boost" that kicks in at wot, but I've heard that it's not very smooth.

Most the time none is going to be plenty. But adding a little can smooth out the power band.
