LRP FLOW

Does anyone know when this is coming out? Is this there new speedo to replace the SXX line?

elecRC23 08-15-2012 08:47 PM

They have a video out about it on YouTube

wazee 08-16-2012 11:26 AM

The 2 new flow esc's are replacing the sxx line. Here in germany the new flow esc will be available in early september.

They are even a bit cheaper than the old sxx line.

Sad , always nice to see Made in the USA or Made in Germany, both a sign of quality.

soup99 08-16-2012 06:31 PM

hopefully they have a better, stronger bec

elecRC23 08-16-2012 11:42 PM

hope they are more durable

The Flow is gonna be available worldwide in September, production is running now and everyone is super-happy with how pre-production stuff is running in all the classes.

That statement is false, LRP speed-controls are NOT made in China!

racer1812 08-18-2012 11:47 PM

I would love to support LRP again....but only if the Flow kicks the crap out of the Orion R10...which is the smoothest esc I've driven.

So, then were are they made? According to the Rules of origin you are obliged to state in which country they are made - respectivly where the last substantial transformation took place.

I have the packaging of a sxx v2 in front of me and I'm not able to find any sign of the origin on it. Neither on the speedo.

You only state "german technology"... That brings me to the conclusion you are not allowed to use the "Made in Germany" tag because it requires various specifications you don't fulfill.

So Reto, please enlighten us and tell us were the new LRP speedos are made.

Just intalled

Hi,
I already have installed the new board, but the motor is getting to hot, I am using the same FDR I was using on the SXX Stock Spec (with boost) 6.0 on a big track, after 4min the esc cuts-off (motor temp)
here is my setup on the new board:
Mode1 - 3
Mode2 - 2
Mode3 - 6
Mode4 - 0
Motor - Pure Evolution 13,5T
FDR - 6.0 (36-108)

then I have changed the FDR to 6.17 and it cuts-off at 5min
then changed to 7.2 FDR and cuts-off at 4min

anyone can give me an advise on the settings and FDR?
thanks

+1 Some German manufacturing have been moved to nearby countries like Czech, Poland, Switzerland etc (Bosch.Wera)

Am I the only one that gets excited when a "Made in China" product lasts more than 1 use?

I have a friend who's sponsored by ae and he has a flow in his 4wheel buggy and it's amazing but im with team orion and when the flow comes out i don't think it's gonna kick the crap out of the r10's. My opinion they should change the color from blue to grey or black and maybe it will work better:lol:

well see how it is when it comes out!

burito 08-19-2012 08:13 PM

I'm sure you guys will like the new speedo. :)

As to the "Made in ..." statements, I'm not a lawyer and no expert on that subject as to when a product is allowed to carry which country. Obviously electronic components are sourced worldwide.
But I guess I can state that all our speed-controls are designed inhouse at LRP in Germany and that our production facility, which is also closely related to LRP, is located in Europe.

Just like Novak: "Designed and manufactured by Team Novak in Irvine, California using the best components from around the globe." Guess they were sued for using "Made in USA"

elecRC23 08-20-2012 10:37 AM

What is the era and the price?

FACTORYBUTNOT 10-02-2012 01:48 AM

Hey Reto! Thanks again for upgrading my Sxx v2 at the US Nationals! The speedo works a lot better now and have had zero problems with it!

I can't wait to go with the Flow!

Tower Hobbies has it listed for $295.00! that is a lot of money for an ESC.

geeunit1014 10-03-2012 08:45 PM

Tower always guesses on prices before things are released. Based on the MSRP on AE's site, you can expect it to around the current price point of the SXX v2's or cheaper.

I just purchased and installed A flow works team into my B44.2 and I was wondering if anybody knows what esc setups Ryan Cavalieri or Ryan MaifieldI use for their FWT for hi grip clay tracks? Help!!!

UN4RACING 01-19-2014 06:01 PM

Is anyone happy with there flow. Mine is pretty weak to say the least and the adjustments are not very noticeable? running Reedy motors.

ntJeff 01-20-2014 12:03 AM

I've had a few, and I liked them OK. But of all the escs I've owned, they'd probably my least favorite. Nothing stands out to be about them at all. They just work, nothing special IMO.

I like my Orion the best out of my escs, but tekin was good too, a lot better than LRP.
