Robitronic Lap Counting System

Has anyone used one? We have a small dirt oval track and I am not looking too shell 1000s on AMB system. So I am looking for another timing system.

Thanks

Check into the trackmate system. I race at 2 local tacks that use it and works great. I just bought a setup myself to use for parking lot races. About $500 gets you started, and transponders are $25 each. It's an ir system, but have witnessed it read through painted bodies, and a car sliding under the tower upside down.

Thank you for the information. I will check into that system.

For indoor, I've heard decent things about the system. It doesn't compare to the AMB system, but remember. Most people who do "currently" race run the AMB transponders. Racers may not be happy to buy a new transponder to race at your track specifically. Just a thought.

If they want to get their laps counted, they will buy one, and they are inexpensive. 30-40 bucks..
You spend more on tires, rims, and foams to get competitive, and even more for a new body and paint.

I would buy those transponders if my local track had the system, to support my local track.

Your correct, I own a couple AMB PT's myself. But I am thinking of having handouts, or rental transponders.

Looking at the trackmate system and the transponder are only $25.00
