2s2p ??
 

Ok , so I see 2s2p and wonder what the heck...? I do a few searches and see some interesting threads. I now understand that its cheaper, sometimes weigh less and cost less to produce. It had also been debated that internal resistance is increased and decided that it is such an insignificant amount that it does not matter..

Can anyone else interject with experience based comments before I pull the trigger on a few of these 2s2p's?

long story short, you're not likely to ever notice any difference and many companies never even tell you if their packs are 2s2p or 2s1p.

My thoughts and they are just that, are 2s2p packs are more likely to puff prematurely. This is based on my own and buddies I race with running both 2s2p and 2s1p packs in a safe non abusive way. All packs treated equal, ran in similar classes with similar motors charging at similar amps, the 2s2p just have seemed to puff quicker, and more often. This hasn't bees totally brand specific either.

Normally, there will be no difference. However, since the pack has 4 cells instead of two, the chance of a dying cell doubles.

Most of you are already using 2S2P packs and don't know it. As Racer said, many companies do not label their pack configurations.

Thanks guys, I guess ill just try one and see. Whenever that is, I will update this post with findings.
