Lipo Question

Hi everyone,

I am looking at buying my first electric truck and I have some questions about lipos.

1. The Thunder Tiger MT-4 G3 says that it needs either:

*2S- 1P Lipo with deans plugs 1 or 2 packs
or
*3S-4S 1P Lipo with deans plugs 1 pack only

Is it better to run 2 x 2s or 1 x 4s? Or is it the same thing??

2. How do I know what size lipo to buy for my truck? Eg. These 2 batteries look different in size:

2 x 2s packs connected in series is the same as a single 4s pack

Measure the battery compartment in your car and get a battery that fits

Cheers

2x2s or 4s is same thing. I've heard that 2x2s can be more convenient. Like if one cell goes bad you only have to replace a 2s and not the whole 4s.

For size not sure but in the picture they show it using 2 hardpack. Most people use hardpacks in cars/trucks because they are more protected in a crash.

The hardpacks are usually around 130-140mm long.. Thickness depends on the capacity though.

Here are the cheap hardpacks

2x 2s would also take almost twice as long to charge.

You want a 4000mah+ over 30c 4s battery.
