mmp punch control

so after frying my sv2 i bought a mmp and ran it tonight for the first time.
after updating the software had to revert to the older software.
it seems like it has some punch control that i cant remove.
from a dead stop nail the throttle and it takes a second and roles a little before it realy spools up before it.
reverting to the older softer helped but is there any other fix anyone knows about my motor is 1410 3800.
Thanks
Mike

Is the ESC calibrated to your transmitter ?

What batteries are you using ?

Cheers

Did you reset to high power starts ? Certain updates reset defaults.

high power starts il have to check that .
the batts are turnigy 2s 6000.
it just seems different than it was with the sv2.

just got home from camp and checked it out high power starts was on high.
so i then reverted to one from the oldest firmware.
and it works great now.
i dont know why the firmware needs to go back to that old but it worked.

Ya know, i should have thought of that. I have 3, 1 cell MMP's & I learned a long time ago that sometimes the programming can get corrupted several different ways.
Like you I use an older firmware (1.29) because I run faster lap times with it. One problem castle has had with their firmware is flash corruption upon disconnection from the computer.
Here is a link to the fixes their firmware updates are supposed to do.

Mine have also corrupted from time to time when reducing timing & or rpm ranges.

esc seems to be working ok know but all i can say is i think the sv2 i had was better.
never a question about what it was doing it just worked.
i may try one of those brushless hobbies esc's it looks pretty good for 1/2 the price kinda wish i just bought that.
so how do i do the update when i used the upodated version it had a bunch of lag of the line.

I have two of the BH 120A ESCs and they are quite good, in all honesty I like the Castle programming software better but the shitty BECs in the Castle ESCs keep me from buying them. The BEC in the BH ESC is nice and strong.
