Vxl 3s ?

Hey guys I have a Rustler Vxl. The gearing is 12/84 with Proline 2.8 trenchers. My question should I have a higher temp on 3s or 2s. When I use the 2s my temps are lower than the 3s. Is this correct?

If you run the same gearing on both 2s and 3s then correct, 3s will be hotter.
