Oh yeah... Thankfully that hasn't been a issue. My Awesomatix cars keep on getting better. Might be ready for a 5.5 now (from 6.5).

I've been testing the esc and 4.5 TX motor.
I've had al day long problems with the temp of the motor.
After 3 minutes 80°C.
This were the last settings that i tried, and the temp was after 5 minutes 85°C
Timinig start 35%
timing 7
timing interval +2
delay 0.03
turbo 28
interval +3
drag brake 9
punch 4

FDR was 7.7 with 8, the temp was higher.
What could i change to reach lower temps?
With my lrp flow and X20 motor, it only gets 60°C and had a little more power.

No one in the US has gotten a chance to run the ORCA TX motors yet. So it will be hard for anyone here to give you any help with them.

I will have the ORCA TX motors in stock this week though and then some of the US Drives can provide more feedback for setups and such.

I guess this has been brought up before.

USB link software problems. Have installed the software and when I open the program it says Insert USB link and I do. Tried it with it already in the USB port and with the esc connected and without.

When installing the drivers it says in can not copy the INF file.

What to do? Just bought the damn thing so I could install V3. I have a W8 pc so does this matter? I am no computer genius per say.

Help would be much appreciated.

My guess is reduce the timing and turbo interval to +1, but with that ratio you should be running on a big straight track?

Check also the timing on the motor, that should be on zero seting.

How is your pwm setting for Th and BK?

I guess this is a 4.5 motor? I wonder how different a 5.0 motor setting is? I am going to try 7.74 on a I guess Med/large track (175ft straight)

A fan is a must have. What is for you a big track?

If the track has a straight line of +50 meters. That is already a big track.

Now we can compare, for you to have an idea, at the euros warmup race on a track with a 55 mts straight (Big Track on your definition) Hagberg used 7.88, as you can see you have diferent notions of big track.

See here the setup: http://forum.teamxray.com/xform/inde...D=403&setup=t4

See the track here: http://cardoso-modelismo.com/euro2013/track.html

Another exercise you must do is ask them the firmware version and compare to the one you got, because you may be surprised.

In the end if you want try my advices and maybe on a medium track 8.1 - 8.3 ratio and a good 30mm fan should do the work great.
