Wow... You relabeled all of your current packs and charrged more.

FYI a 2s2p config is not desirable. If one cell is a little 'off' the pack blows up.

We did not relabel any current pack. And please do not give out any false information on the packs without trying them first. These are very safe packs and we stand behind them with a lifetime warranty. On the bench and in real-world testing these packs are very good and offer an insane amount of power.

Where can I read the details for the lifetime warranty? I'm curious about the warranty because I'm not sure I can bring myself to spend more on a battery than I did on a speedo.

Hoo-Boy, I got dizzy from the high price of $150 for a 7.4V pack.

Wow, does it drive the car for you too?

Problem is that 8A is a lot for a racer who uses maybe 1.2A or so in a 6 minute heat but I can see where the extra weight could be used as ballast to keep the car from going too fast.

I bought a few of your 6500 packs and they only put out between 5800-6000mah. If I discharge these on my Hyperion Duo, will it discharge a full 8000mah?

What motors are capable of 50+ mph on 2s ?

Can you produce a 200 amp (25c) or 400 amp (50c) discharge graph plotting volts / capacity / cell temp ?

Cheers

Is hindsight blind? The reason why maxamps got such a bad rap originally was because they used a 2s2p config. When one cell started to fail the pack blew up...

You accuse me of providing false information, would you care to talk about your 'C' ratings?
You have yet to provide ANY discharge graphs of your packs...

Well, my friends dad had a 5.5t hobbywing motor in his stampede and had 19/90 gearing and it was going about 40-45 on 2s. If he changed the gearing a bit it would get above 50. BUT it ran HOT.

I recently discovered why my blitz was so under powered and fixed the issue. Now I got 40.5mph on 2s with stock tires and 27/83 and the motor is still always under 130 degrees. I have a lot of room to change the gearing there. Most of the time I get the motor around 110 to 115.

But that isnt what this thread is about, it is about max amps new battery.

I agree with the post above, their C ratings are total bogus and even racers dont need anything that high. A good 60c or maybe a bit higher, is good for most racers. Plus these are soft case from what I know and they are still hard to fit into a truck unless you use a velcro system.

Correct me if I am wrong, but dont 2s2p packs normally have a higher internal resistance?

Should be equal if similar quality cells were used

Cell resistance decreases with capacity and is halved when connected in parallel

Values plucked from the sky below but you will get the drift .........

8000 mah cell = 2 milliohms
4000 mah cell = 4 milliohms

2 x 4000 mah cells in parallel = 8000 mah and 2 milliohms

Not that it is even possible but I would guess a 75c rated 8000 mah cell would need to be under 0.2 milliohms

Hazard a guess at what these ones are ?

Cheers

Thought RCTech had no free advertising like this? Saw many product threads started by that company get removed and some from maxamps. Why is this still here?
