NEW SCTE binding problem esc/controller

rtr scte with stock esc and dx3e, first try.

turn on truck and controller with new batteries in each. esc beeps and fan starts. but no steering or throttle/brake.

seems like the controller/esc isnt bound to eachother.

how do i bind them?
