Transponder question
 

I need to purchase a transponder. I'm pretty new but I understand there is a transponder that will record lap data? Can anyone explain a bit or steer me in the right direction? I tried a search but the only thing I could pull up is transponders that people want to sell.

I think I just answered my own question. I see the one from Spektrum. Thanks for the help on the other thread that was started same time as this one.....DOH!

If you are looking for one to use while racing at the track, then it depends what system the track is set up for. AMB is the most popular. The Spektrum system is a personal lap timer for when your practicing.

the my laps transponder is part of AMB on a buy out. as you cross the LOOP as my tack calls it the Computer counts your lap time and lap as you pass over the loop. the loop is a piece of wire in the bround to pck up the singal from the transponder. mount far forward on the rc as you can and flat it works best this way. do not stand it up on it's side it will not count your laps.

AMB personal transponder or Mylaps transponder is the most pouplar serach ebay for one about the best place to get them used and new.
