Default How many volts can you put thru a 3PKS?

Looking for a better battery for my 3pks. Futaba said no more then 7.4 volts. My old man has been running a 9.6 volt stickman with no problems. I see every lipo is 11.1 volts. My question is will 11.1 volt lipo be to much? Who's running what? Thanks.

3PKS holds 8 AA batteries so that's way more than 7.4 volts, 3s Lipo is what you want.

this TEXT from 3PKS manual.
=================================================
Transmitter T3PKS
(Wheel system, 3 channels)
- Transmitting frequencies 27, 29, 40, 41 or 75MHz band
(TZ-FM or PK-FMS RF module used)
- Modulation FM
(HRS/PCM/PPM switching possible)
- Power requirement
(Ni-cad battery)
NT8F700B Ni-cad battery (9.6V)
(Dry cell battery)
Penlight x 8 (12V)

- Current drain 250mA or less (Vibration and back lilighting off)
==================================================

from this text above, you see 3PKS can use with dry cell x 8 cell = 12Volt.
So, 3PKS can use with 12 volt without problem.

i used 3PK with Li-Po 3 cell 11.1V (when full charge = 12.6V)
it can work fine. but should not use battery that just charge finish.
i will wait for a while, for battery voltage little drop after charge finished.

An average AA size alkaline battery will measure out to a little over 1.6v right out of the package. Take 1.6 x 8 = 12.8, so a fully charged 3s lipo at full charge, 4.2v x 3 = 12.6, should be safe.
