A really small windows to steup ESC
Yes,
with all the ESC now having setup programs running in windows, I wonder what is a suitable small, preferably very small PC to put in the RC-box when going to the track it needs to be able to run on battery..atleast winXP alteast 1 USB host the EEPcs from different makers, are there smaller? |
The netbooks are about the smallest and least expensive.
You can get a three year old one running XP for about $100 or less. |

You can get a three year old one running XP for about $100 or less. I got an Asus EEEpc netbook and it's perfect to put in the pit box. I use both a Tekin & Hobbywing esc and the software works fine on WinXP. Battery life is between 4-6 hours depending what you're doing with it (newer ones could be longer) plus it's handy to look up stuff on the net if need be. Cheers Rob. |
The EEEPC 900/1000 series will work just fine.
I hate the mouse button placement on them, but the Acer Aspire One ZG5 (AOA150, etc) is another good choice. Very solidly built, and you can pick them up super cheap. |
Thanks All!
was just wondering if ther is anything smaller out there.. but as you say the EePC's will do the trick and are cheap second hand. thanks! |
