hakko 936 HELP

Ok have a hakko 936 with a 908 iron my darn cat chewed the cord. So I bought a new 907 iron unit off ebay from over seas. Put on the power supply and doesn't seem to get as hot. Took apart and everything looks the same like the elemet. Do I have to calibrate the new iron?

I would say yes as an uneducated guess, but I would call Hakko.

Well found manual and it says you have to suppose after iron change or element change could use temp gun to calibrate it I guess.
