Hi.

We're getting our V3 this weekend. Will be built in in a brand new Serpent S411 TE with full tuning items and with brand new Thunderpower 4,0 and 4,5 T modified motors. Wrrruuuummmm

We can't wait to next weekend again for testing. And - in 10 weeks it's the WC in Heemstede in the Netherlands.

Hello guys.

What changes has been done in the 3.1 software version for Xerun V3?
Are convenient to upgrade?
Improved items o bug corrections?

King regards

Best esc I have ever used and I haven't even starting playing with the settings!

Oeee!!!
First race in Andalusian Regionals with the V3, and I'd done TQ and final victory, getting down my race record!
The V3 is amazing and so much stable. Motor temparature sensor with a LRP X12 5.5T Octawind, works ok.

Just got the black version. I love that the power switch is integrated in the ESC. No more problem finding a place to mount the switch! :P

Anyone know if Hobbywing ever submitted this ESC for Roar approval for stock class?

Looking at getting the 120A version in blue (p/n 81020310 ).
Best price in Australia?
Hobby shop that sells Hobbywings ESC?

If not, online and ships to Australia?

eBay just showing black version.

Oh, would also want the Professional LCD Program Box 86020090 that goes with the V3.
Then would need to do this update according to their website:
(Note: To work with XERUN V3 ESC, the LCD Program Box MUST be updated by a new version USB Link Software, that is, the version not ealier than V3.0_Beta_120401)

The software:
New USB Link Software (Works together with the LCD Program Box, and suitable for XERUN V3 ESC)
(Note: XERUN V3 ESC ONLY works with the new version of the USB Link Software, that is, the version not ealier than V3.0_Beta_120401)

I know Feral batteries sells the v3 and should sell the programming box and seem to have the best price. Go to the Australian racing forum and the topic is up the top.

Thanks, will have a look at that thread for Feral batteries for a few other things as I already found a supplier and ordered yesterday for both items.
I'm sure he'll have something else I'm interested in!

So have been testing out the V3 again yesterday, and found a very nice setting for use with modified.... it's smooth, but fast too. Actually could take more, as had to dial down the top end as the track wasn't big enough to make use of it! Main straight was around 100ft, with three full throttle areas.

So settings...

Motor: Dualsky Z5 4.5t, 13mm Rotor, stock timing (7° I think!)
FDR: 8.4
Punch: 15 / 15, Linear, Switch point 50%
Brake: 20/20, switch point 50%, Drag brake 10%, Max brake 62.5%,
Boost: 28, Start 12,500RPM, End 27,500RPM, Linear, Boost by Throttle Off
Turbo: 20, Full throttle only, Delay 0.15s, TEng 18, TDeng 18

Very happy with that, feel like a little higher on FDR might have been good, but I didn't have enough spur's with me to cover that change.

Regards
Ed

I'm using my V3 for crawler.
The fan is too loud... is there any way to speed it down without disconnect it?
I have it disconnected for now just while I'm testing the car, but want it connected with lower speed to be more quiet so I can ear the birds in the forest
Regards!
