LiFe Store Voltage

Anyone know the store voltage of a LiFe battery? I think its some where around 3.4 volts per cell but not sure.

Thanks

No storage voltage for Life, store them full

Cheers

I have heard that it is not good to charge them up to past 95% let alone store them at 100%. Not trying to be rude but that just does not sound right.

Life's are different from Lipo, But as far as I know, They are the same in the fact they dont like being stored at 100%. Im thinking 60-80%TCS capacity would be just fine. Exactly what voltage that might be will depend on the charger and settings.

My PL8 Chargers default says 3.32v for storage voltage on A123's

I store my packs at Nominal voltage. Which is the voltage the pack says it is. 7.4v for a 2s lipo, 6.6v for a 2s Life. Its how there shiped and stored before purchase for long periods of time to keep them healty, its probobly a good voltage to store them at between uses ;)

That sounds about right. So far I have been storing the cells at 3.33 volts and have had good results. From what I read LiFe does not discharge as much as Lipo when sitting around for a while so its safe to store them very close to their nominal voltage.

A lipo is not shipped at charged state ever.
3.85v is the storage voltage per cell. Fully charge 4.2v per cell. Fully depleted is a personal preference but andlything below 3.25v will damage the cells
Most dont go below 3.5v per cell.

As for a LiFe they aren't a temperamental as a Lipo. Storahe is anything from 60-90% charge. Would run below 3v per cell though.

I haven't had any problems leaving my life's fully charged. What a pain it would be to store and recharge transmitter life's every time you go out for a run.

*edit* face palm, just realised soulcoma replied to a 4 year old thread.

Never store Lipos & LiFe batteries at fully charge, they become lazy. I store mine at half the Mah not by voltage. Doing that for 5 years now, their still doing well!!
