fried battery?
 

I recently connected my bullet connectors on my lipo battery incorrectly (positive wire into the negative hole and negative wire into the positive hole on battery). I ended up frying my cap on my esc (esc was spared). But, now my lipo battery doesn't charge. Every time I charge it, my battery charger reads, "connection failure". Is the battery ruined, too?

Sorry to tell you but yeah it's done. You most likely shorted it out. I did the same thing a while back. I took the lipo apart and it was toast inside. But hey your lucky the esc was spared. Mine was'nt:cry:

If the brand offers good customer service they may charge less than you think to repair or replace the pack. If not, the safest thing to do is discard the pack, but if you are handy there may be hope yet.

Many lipo battery packs use a printed circuit board to route the connections cleaner and add an extra layer of safety for this exact reason. If you are comfortable making repairs this can often be fixed and the pack will work just fine. I have fixed a pack of my own this way and seen many others sucessfully repaired, but you must be willing to accept the consequences if you screw up. Lipos will not spontaneously combust as some might imply, but they do burn very very hot and can cause some serious damage if you do not take the proper precautions. I would only recommend that people with advanced electrical and soldering skills attempt any repairs to a lipo pack.
