Default ESC/Battery Questions

hey guys, I have a stock b4.1 rtr and I was planning on getting a gens ace 5000mah 50c 2s battery to run it with. I was just wondering if I would be able to do that. Could the esc controll that discharge? Btw, it is the sc450-bl esc.

Thanks!!!!!

What motor are you using ?

Motor will only draw the amps it requires from your battery

Cant imagine any motor you would have in the buggy would need such a battery

Cheers

you should be fine..i've run a 5800mah/65c pack in my sons b4.1 rtr... i've also run my 5800mah/35c pack and my 5400mah/50c pack in the buggy with no problems..i can notice a slight difference between the c ratings when running the different batteries..but not enough make a huge difference..

the only thing i dont like about that sc450bl esc in the rtr b4.1 is the low voltge cutoff settings..as far as i can tel in the manual there are 2 settings...1 for nimh, and the other for running lipo's , and the setting is at 3.0v per cell...being as it is my sons car i watch when he runs it and make sure to stop him after a while so he doesn't run the batteries down to the lvc...i haven't heard of or found a way to set it any higher..according to the manual those are the only 2 choices..might need to get a lvc alarm to keep track..
