m11 dead spot in the steering

i have a dead spot (like the spring is weak) in the steering. when i turn in one direction it does not go to the center. stops short of the center and i have to turn it to center. if i tightent the resistance screw it helps, but my steering is tight. how do i fix this?

never mind. i took it apart and fixed it.
