Tekin Programing Question

I just updated my firmware on my RS Pro ESC. It all seems to be working fine but one things seems confusing. Does the TP setting stand for Throttle Profile or Timing Profile? The manual says it changes the throttle curve, but changing this setting seem to change the pre-programmed timing profiles. Is the manual out dated? Im currently running the newest firmware, I think its 223.

Thanks

Its a little bit of both actually. You have 1-6or 7 cant remember settings. 1 being stock blinky no timing and then 2 through 4-5 are increased with boost and throttle curves. 3 is a linar curve with boost. 5-6 or 6-7 are your custom profiles for you to create via hotwire.

Thanks for the reply. So the custom profiles will hold both the throttle curve and the timing that I set?

I have the Hotwire but I don't have a PC to bring to the track with me.

yes whatever you save on your custom profiles are easily accessed by selecting the right TP from your esc...

You can create and save two custom profiles on the RS (led 6 = C1 and 7 = C2). Both are accesible by the buttons on the ESC.

+10 tekin is the Only ESC on the market that I know of that can save custom profiles to the esc and access them without a program box or computer. Pair that with a Tiny footprint and TOP notch customer service and theres really no other ESC to look at. Best value on the market!

That cleared things up for me, thanks guys.

Hey so I was changing the TP setting on the ESC itself from 1 to 3 to C1 and C2. I then verified it with the Hotwire. It seems to change the timing setting but does not effect the throttle curve at all. I set the curve to linear. No matter how much I change the TP setting with the ESC, the throttle curve does not change, only the timing settings change. I think they just need to update the RS manual.

The throttle curve can only be changed by using the Hotwire. LEDs 1-5 are all preset timing; 1 being Blinky.

Go to the Hotwire page and download the guide which explains what you can change and how it works. http://www.teamtekin.com/hotwire_RS.html
