battery charging ?

i run a 5 cell 1600mah hump pack in my t maxx for my servo's. now i always charge it before i run my truck. but sometimes i only might run 5-10 minutes, then i bring it in and charge it back up. then it might set for days or a week then i charge it when im going to run my maxx. is it ok to charge the battery even if its not dead. or should i run the battery down more then recharge it? i charge it at 1 amp on my charger. thanks!

You shouldn't have any issues "topping it off" each time you go to use it. You should try and cycle it once and a while though.

Old school way is to simply turn the car/truck on and let it sit for a few hours to drain some juice out, then charge it back up..Like I said that's the old school way to do it.

ok thats good. yea right now its charged up. but next time i run it i can do that. i know some people connect something to the battery to help drain it. but i can just leave the switch on until it gets low. i have a battery meter on it and theres seven lights on the meter so i can see how much power the battery has. thanks man!
