Green ring on wire to RX on hobbywing
 
Whats the green ring for that the wire to the RX goes through for
is this ring to prevent interference, can I move it closer to the esc so i can thread more cord though my chassis??

from what I was told by a fellow member running these esc's you can just take it off.

I found its a ferite ring for reducing elctro magnetic interference but with 2.4 Ghz you dont really need it.(thats what the plain guys say, they add them to servo wires to reduce glitching.)

The output lead of the BEC also wrapped through a torroid choke to further reduce any switching noise that might be generated by the BEC.
