brushless servo question - BLS452 - is it bad?
 

This is my first brushless servo. it's used.

I've ran it a few race days and it seems perfect on track.

However, I accidentally turned the steering with the transmitter once when the front tires were obstructed...and instead of "stalling" like all my other servos, this one kind of whines or squeels... It almost sounds like there is a slipper clutch inside of it slipping, but I know there isn't. (the gears are NOT grinding, I know what that sounds like). As soon as you free up the front tires, it snaps right back into line and acts like nothing ever happened, still centers and drives great.

is this just how brushless servos are??

i think that's just the noise it makes when its trying to go but cant :nod: but idk for sure

for anyone who reads this in the future, it turned out to be the gearset; there is a gear (the top gear on the center shaft) that has two halves pressed totgether, and they were spinning within each other.

Glad you found the problem. I'm using one in my 1/8 e-buggy and it rocks.
