Controller Broken?

I have a RadioShack 4wd hummer I got a long time ago that I'm trying to use but it is not working properly. When I put the controller and the truck on the same frequency the wheels spin with me touching anything until I change one of the frequencies or turn the controller or truck off. Would you guys think the problem is the truck or the controller? If it's the controller is there somewhere I can buy a replacement? Thanks for any help.

E-Bay, or Radio shack's online store ?

Does it need to be the exact same controller? This one has an A/B/C for the frequencies which goes with the A/B/C on the truck. Do I need to find one with those on it? I tried 2 other controllers I have but they only made the wheels move a little.

I figured out what part of the controller is making it move on it's own. It has two nobs on the right side that say "TRIM 1" and "TRIM 2". If I turn the one that says "TRIM 1" all the way to the left it I can make it go forward and back with the controller but I can not steer it. If I move it at all from being all the way turned to the left it will move full speed on it's own again. Is it fixable or should I find a new one? If I need a new one what kind should I look for?

Trim is intended to set neutral, so that sounds sorta correct. Although throttle is typically on channel 2 on hobby type RCs, steering on 1. Does the other trim knob control steering? Do you ever have any steering, not sure from your comments?

outside or inside

I know that it could be like a inferred remote where it can't work outside because it will not bounce of walls to control it, most of the cheap helis you can only use them inside the house.

I have no steering at all. I messed around with trim 2 and it doesn't seem to do anything, I did it with the controller taken apart to see if anything was broken or not touching. I have a feeling I'm going to just need a new controller, but I'm not sure exactly what kind I should look for.
