electrical trouble

so i just bought a team associated sc10 to help me have some fun on my deployment. its the rtr brushed version. i was rippin around the track we have on base and it was acting like the battery was dying. seemed rather quick so i brought it over and it stopped working. replaced the battery and still nothing. i can steer but the car wont go anywhere. even with a brandnew battery. my reciever wires are plugged in. i checked them. motor wires are good too. is my esc burned out?

Sounds like you may have lost the motor or the esc. Does the esc do anything when you turn it on ? Wich esc is it ?

Sorry just reread it for brushed not brushless.

Could be the motor you might unplugging one of the motor wires and use a voltmeter check for voltage when trying the throttle.

would it be the motor already? ive only had it for about a week. am i over looking something easy?

Try resetting the esc too, it could even be something as simple as a stone jammed in the motor if its brushed. Hope you figure it out soon :)

My guess is that you've lost a brush in the motor. Look in the slot of the motor can and you should be able to see 2 copper bars with carbon brushes on the ends that contact the comm. You've probably got a brush off and the copper bar is laying directly on the comm.

Quick way to check if its the motor is... un plug everything... plug in the speed control to the steering in the receiver, if the motor works with steering the speed control needs to be reset. push that little red button on the switch. if it don't work plugging it into the receiver then the motor is messed up. hope this helps.. keep your head down bro...
