Tekin RS

hey guys, so I just sent my esc off to Tekin, and they kindly replaced it for me because I was having intermittent throttle loss. Couldn't figure it out, so I had sent it in. Well they gave me a new one(which was awesome of them because I couldn't find my receipt to prove my purchase). In the box they also had screen shots of my esc when hooked up to hotwire. They drew a big red circle over the boost/turbo screen. They said improper boost adjustments can cause intermittent power loss. However they did not say what the proper settings were, can anyone give me an idea of what "proper" boost adjustments would be?

What exactly are your settings and what class do you run them in?

I run 2wd mod buggy. I have to find the sheets, although some of the numbers were not the same as when I had last changed them which I found really strange. For example, it showed my volt cut-off and 3 something, when I had it at 6.8. My turbo delay was at 0, turbo ramp was at 2, and I think boost was in the 90's? But like I said things were changed. On the sheet it showed my delays as 2.something, and I don't recall what my specific boost setting was at...but I dont recall having it that high.

Are their like, presets that people use maybe?

boost doesnt go that high. If you could hook up your hotwire and take a look at your settings I can see exactly what you have and can help from there. Turbo is useless in mod buggy so there's no reason to worry about it. We'll get you in the right direction.....

Well i was completely aware that there were preset profiles, so should I try those? Tekin gave me a brand-new esc so it doesn't have any changes yet, I run boost so I am going to want to add it again, I just don't know where to begin

What turn motor are you running? The preset profiles work pretty well in most cases. they have a 5,000 start and a 20,000 end rpm. The boost goes up slightly depending on which one you select. I'd start off mild with no more than 10-12 degrees of motor timing.

I'm currently running a tekin redline 10.5t with quite a bit of mechanical timing, but ill turn it down. but will soon be switching to a revtech 8.5t(i prob wont run boost then just because im sure there'll be plenty of motor for my b4

How much is quite a bit? Each slash mark on a Redline motor is 4 degrees.

oh and here are the pictures of the screenshots tekin sent me, and by 90 i read it wrong and was going for memory. the biggest thing that makes no sense to me, is that the volt. cut off was WAY lower than i had it initially set, and i know i didn't put it at 3.35, is it possible this could have gotten messed with while it wasnt malfunctioning?
