servo gone bad

my friend got a rtr t4.1 and after running it for 5 min the wheels only want to turn left but not right. I guessed maybe he skipped a gear.

It's a shame when good servos go bad, where are the parents?

Seriously, if it's an RTR then replace it with a good one. If not, open it up and see how much damage there is and then buy a good one or replace the gears.

im not gona lie that made me laugh but im mean its brand new i dont think he wants to have to buy that already

Sorry to hear that but RTR servos were never known to be indistructable let alone durable. The steering servo will break just looking at it wrong.

You can always call Associated's CS and plead that it was just bad out of the box and never mention you used it for five minutes or even one minute, do that and the onus is on you as the user.

Be sure to check the steering rack. Sometimes when they break you can only turn one direction.
