Epic stators and rotors?
Me and some buddies just do some backyard racing with a 17.5t limit. I have a few questions about running a mod 11.5mm rotor in a rev tech 17.5. Right now I have the 12.5mm spec torque rotor. If I run the mod 11.5mm rotor since there is actually more magnet material will I get more torque out of it? And since the air gap is bigger is it possible I would get more rpm. Just wondering how all this would work. Thanks for the input.

slash, 7.4, mmp. Just wondering if i could get more torque out of the 11.5mm mod rotor with out loosing rpm.

As I understand it, a smaller rotor provides less torque, a little more RPM, and a little less braking.
Wouldn't it have less magnet material, being smaller? |

That is true for the spec rotors. Spec rotors have a 7.25mm shaft through the center of the magnets. The mod rotors have a 5mm shaft through the magnets. So with the 11.5mm mod rotor there is actually more magnet material than a 12.5 spec rotor. That is why I am wondering what kind of effect there would be running more magnet and less airgap.

Honestly I would opt for the horsepower over rpm. Besides there is a lot you can do with the MMP. |
