Lipo question

I just got a used revtech trinity lipo. It's a 6000 60c hard case. First thing I did with it was use store it on Hyperion charger. Problem is it is taking forever to finish storing. I have roughly let it go for 3 hours so far and it still isn't finished. Right now it's at 7.789. But one cell is at 3.84 and the other is at 3.94. Should I just let it keep storing? The battery may feel very slightly puffy or it may be just the case I can't tell.

If your battery is reaching it's storage voltage by being discharged rather than charged, that will take a while as most chargers only discharge at 1amp. I'd let it finish.

don't rush, wait it out , the last thing you want to do is to damage your batteries...

I just stopped storing it cause I had to go to bed. Didn't wanna leave it going with me asleep. So no big deal with one cell at 3.84 and one at 3.94

Good call on suspending for the night.

That is a significant imbalance at that level of charge, will be interesting to see how it responds as you cycle it. Seems it either was poorly maintained by the previous owner or has a weak cell.

Certainly keep monitoring cell voltages as you have been.

Yeah I thought that was to imbalanced myself. Gonna try it again in a few minutes. These lipo batteries make me nervous. Gota be a safer technology out there with the same performance as lipo but safer

update. I have been storing the battery now for 120 minutes. The voltage per cell now is 3.85 for one and 3.91 for the other. Its been this way for 45 minutes now. Is this still to far imbalance?.

Yes.
You should balance charge it at 1 amp, that should bring it into balance much faster.
