Epic Fail...DX3R smashed

Hey guys, I thought a few of you might get a kick out of this. I was pissed but it's funny now. Anyways, long story short, I ran it over with my truck on accident. So in this bag is all the pieces that I could pick up...not much to work with anymore. So needless to say, I'm going to be taking a break from RC for a little while until i can afford to buy another radio. Enjoy!

ya, i think i'm going to get another r tho. I really liked that radio. I"m just happy i didnt run over my car...that would have been worse and more costly

I wouldnt get another, spektrums are cheap and unreliable... bad experiences... now you can sell your recivers and invest in a mt4 or mx3x from airtronics. super high response and n such thing as glitching.

brothainchrist0 01-26-2012 09:56 AM

ya, we will see. I'll probably stick with spektrum cause I know everything about the radio and know how to use it. It would be a big pain to switch my radio system right now.

Had a DX3R for several years till I sold it to my cousin and got the DX3R Pro. NEVER had a single reliability issue or glitch and ran many offroad cars, both electric and nitro. The response on both of these Spektrums is quite impressive also. Sorry to hear that you've had bad experiences with them.

Ya, I was looking around at new radios but it would just be easier for me to just get another dx3r since all my vehicles already have receivers in them for that radio. and I haven't had any trouble with my radio at all yet...i mean except that I ran it over

rcpro31 01-26-2012 08:16 PM

ohh man,

sorry for your loss  I ALMOST ran mine over with a quad, I was extremely close to having a heart attack. :ha:

I never had any problems ever with both of mine, a DX3R and DX3R Pro. I had just too many Spektrum receivers with my 3PKS/Spektrum module to switch over to a 4PKS with receivers at $100+. Also my Pro was $270 new only $200 less than the Futaba plus the Pro is lighter which suits me for the long mains.

ya, i'm the same way. i think i'll buy a pro when i get the money. I really like the spektrum radio just cause that's what i'm used to now. And I like all the programability on the actual radio. It's great

I had a DX3R the day they were released and I thought it was perfect. Then I upgraded to the KO when it was released and have been very happy for over 2 years. A buddy asked me to drive his buggy the other day and he has a DX3R. I couldn't believe the difference a radio makes, the KO felt 100x more connected, comfortable and once you learn how to use it - the sky's the limit. I gladly handed the DX3R back and will stick with KO. My point is pick up a few radios and find your KO

ACtually that's a really good idea. I'll have to see if people will let me try their radios at our local track. I kinda want to try some airtronics radios but the issue is I race 5 different cars and I really don't want to buy new receivers for all of them too. That's a lot of money

Which KO radio were you referring too? I was looking at them and the prices aren't too bad.

Their current flagship is the Eurus but that will change in a few months.
What I was getting at is pick up different radios and see how they feel in your hand. I wanted a futaba 4pk when it was released but when I picked up I knew it wasn't for me.

Send it in under warranty replacement. Say it just suddenly "fell apart". :D
