MT-4, M11x or something else
I have for the past 15 years or so owned a pro-level radio (M8, M11, 3pk, Spektrum DX3R, KO-EX10, etc). I don't really need a pro radio as I'm not a pro...just a gadget geek who likes to have nice RC stuff.
I'm looking at the current crop and I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I think I have narrowed my search to the M11x, the 4PKS, MT-4 and the RadioPost. 4PKS is a bit pricey... Radiopost...too new M11x - Maybe MT-4 - Not a pro radio My question/problem is that I don't use 90% of the features on the pro radio's anyways so why not go with the MT-4? I like the price (~$150 cheaper than the M11x) and it looks good. Heading to the shop tonight to fondle all (but the radiopost) and hopefully make a decision. Anyone else looking at these (or similar radio's) and settled on the MT-4? Anyone looked at the MT-4 and chose not to get it? Why? Thanks, Blake |
The MT-4 is definately a "Pro" radio. It alows the super high response just like the M11x. Its also way more comfortable due to how light it is. You just missing out on the crazy throtle curves and stuff that you don't even really need on the M11X... As far as the Futaba and Radiopost go I couldn't tell you because I havent owned one. But I know the MT-4/M11X response is faster.
I never found a reason not to have a MT-4. The only thing that would make me happyer with it would be a backlight. But some aftermarket compannys are making them now. |
The MT4 is definitively a top radio. I had a DX3r and the Sanwa beats it, it's a dream.

I have an mt-4 and love it and I just picked up a m11x and it is quite a bit heavier other than that I don't know much about it yet, besides that it is substantially heavier.
