Steering servo issue

Just when I was getting ready to leave the track today I think my servo crapped out on me. For some reason it turned left and acts like it doesnt want to turn back right. Before I take this servo out does this sound to you like the steering servo is striped or whatever? Its a crappy rtr servo. It will turn left hard and almost center itself back but it wont hardly turn right at all. Let me know what you think!

What type of vehicle and what type of receiver battery pack are you using Lipo or Ni-Mh?

Its a hyper buggy, and I am using 4 aa's atm. Before you say anything my Ni-Mh reciever pack is already in the mail from amain just waiting on it atm. But It was doing fine on the aa's all afternoon well like 4 tanks and I put in new ones and its not fixing the problem. So its leading me to believe its the steering servo.

Unhook your servo horn and make sure nothing is binding. Assuming it isn't you have a stripped servo gear. It being an RTR servo it is probably better to just get a new servo.

Well it turns to the left good and fast but it will hardly turn to the right at all and it keeps hanging to the left almost all the way!

Well I am gonna take out the servo and see what it looks like from what I am reading here and what I was already kinda thinking I am willing to bet its just a bad rtr servo thats done shot.

I run the 7955 in my hyper 7 brushless conversion and its been great!

Not much info here but it could also be a stripped out servo horn...

Turns out the bolt securing the servo horn was loose ha ha

Check and make sure that didn't damage the splines on the horn or servo.

:( your right it messed up the splines on the horn. The servo has the metal splines and the horn is all plastic and it striped. But its all good I just ordered this http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...taba-Savox-ACE . I am using this servo atm http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Digital-Servo

Can anyone tell me if this servo is worth a darn? anyone have one?
