Servo question, please set my mind at ease..
Just picked up a Futaba S9350 servo for a Losi XXX-SCT I'm putting together. I see it mentioned as a 1/8 scale servo and high-draw, etc... Is this going to cause me any problems? I plan to run a basic brushless system (Castle SCT maybe) with 3300 NIMH packs for now.
Here are the servo specs for reference. Doesn't seem to have any extraordinary torque/speed... Thanks in advance for any feedback! I run a very similar setup with that same esc/motor combo you mentioned and it worked ok for the most part but I'd periodically get random glitches while driving.
Sometimes on tighter portions of the track I race at I'd lose steering briefly, or on a high-speed sweeper where I was at almost full-throttle while holding a long turn. A couple times the glitches almost caused a very serious crash! I since added a capacitor to the system and I've yet to experience any of the glitching. I'd highly recommend that for sure.
