Re-Register the file:
You can Re-register this file it by typing "regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx" from the command line in the system32 directory.
Perform the following steps to make the changes:
1. Click Start
2. In the Search bar type CMD
3. In the programs pane right click on cmd and "run as an Administrator"
4. Put in your credentials for UAC prompt
5. In the command prompt type in "regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx" then press ENTER

Also you can try downloading http://windowsxp.mvps.org/utils/Comdlg32.zip and putting it in the same directory as the HPP21 program

Hi Linkdead,

thank you for your answer, iīve tried both, but nothing changes. Iīve copied the downloaded ".ocx" file to c:\windows/system32 directory also, try to register it again, restarted the computer and tried your tip again, but I only got a new error message, which said the following:

The module "comdlg32.ocx" is loaded, the call to 'DllRegisterServer' is failed with error code 0x8008021c

Any ideas on this?

Sounds like you registered the file as a user and not an administrator. Do all the steps again logged in on the administrator account. Additionally have you tried to run HPP21 as the administrator or in windows XP compatibility mode (troubleshoot compatibility)?

C:\Windows\SysWOW64 is where you should copy comdlg32.ocx.

First, thank you for trying to help me...! :)

Sorry, but I donīt have a folder "sysWOW64" on my sytem. Eventually it is because I donīt run the 64bit Version of Win7...?!
Additionally I also donīt have any other account as my admin account...

Okay, I found my fault.
Although I was already logged in as Administrator, I still had to select "run as administrator" when starting "cmd.exe". I didnīt know I had to do it that way... ;)

Thankīs for your help again! :)
