M11 or MMM issue- need help

Just got this used m11 and it's a headache! First the Rx was blown and now my range is supper low. When the sc truck gets 2-3 car lengths away it stops and I get no steering or throttle. As I walk closer the MMM re-sets then the sc works till it gets a few feet away. Havent owned a m11 so I'm not sure of the ranges with low or high batter volts. The first set of AA batteries said 9.1 and it was beeping to let me know that's too low. Then I put my back up batteries semi new and it said 10.5. The first set gave me no distance and the second gave me a tad further. No sure if the MMM is going out because of the re setting or if I have a faulty radio or Rx. Don't want to invest into a m11 lipo until im sure it's ok. Using a dsss module and Rx now and i have a spektrum module on the way. Hope that fixes the issue but if not what else should I try? Not gonna try it on my nitro because last thing I need right now is a run away buggy. Any suggestions? Thanks

What servo are you running ?

Watch the receiver and turn the servo fast to full lock a couple of times

If the receiver drops out (brownout) then you may have a bec related issue

Easily fixed with a glitch buster capacitor or an external bec

Cheers

I run Savox hvs on everything and thought that was the issue and tried my hitec spare and it's the same issue.
Just did another test and it's not the MMM. Plugged a hump pack and servo into a Rx out of the Rc. Works great when I'm near. When I walk away my wife says the light(led) flickers then goes out and servos stops. As I come closer the light flickers back on. So I'm guessing the module or radio.
