i was board and had a brand new life pack laying around, and installed in about 15 min, and this pack has dual power leads, one jst plug witch i sniped off and soldered and a standard rx battery type plug witch i will use for charging and the balance leads are free.

Nice, LiFe/LiPo is definitely the way to go for radios.

What benefit does that provide you that a set of Sanyo Eneloop LSD nimh cells cant ?

Cheers

Pretty sure LiFePO has the lowest leakage current/self-discharge of any of the hobby lithium cell chemistries.

Additionally, it is lighter than 8 NiMH cells.

Looks like a 2 cell pack to me

1100mah @ 6.6v vs a set of 4 x 2000mah Eneloops @ 4.8v

Cheers

Ok, lighter than 4 NiMH cells. :)

Forgot the newer Spektrum stuff runs 4 cells.

yes its a 2s1p pack, and it has a much longer shelf/storage life then eneloops plus its cheaper, sat around 4 months with no voltage drop and used it for like 10 min still 6.7 volts.

crusey_aus 12-14-2011 08:17 PM

Not sure its any cheaper

Latest Eneloops are good for 1500 charge cycles, how many is your pack good for ?

Pretty sure 1100 mah @ 6.6v would provide pretty much the same uptime as 2000mah @ 4.8v

Cheers
