Airtronics fhss or dsss whats the difference?

Looking into upgrading my M8 to the new 2.4 set up but i notice 2 versions, the fhss and the dsss on there web site, so whats the differnece, which is the newest system and which is better??? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated
