whose 4mm bullet connector is the best
I see prices from 50 cents to 3 dollars for a single bullet.
This is not an area to skimp but no sense in getting the $3 ones if the $1 works just as well if not better. More money for tires :) Currently running deans but slowly switching to bullets for cleaner wiring and hopefully better current flow. |
Castle are some of the best, at least the style is. Duratrax also makes the same style. Either way pass on the "basket" or "cage" style.
good... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTJH8&P=7 these also work well, IMO.http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXYXF3&P=7 anything but these!!! http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJPY4&P=7 all IMO of course |
I wouldn't do it for more/better current flow. No real gain IMO unless it's in maybe an E8 car. Does make for a nicer/cleaner set-up though. Just don't plug them in backwards..:deathstar

A-Main's Pro-Tech plugs are rather nice. Good tight fit and they have a cutout so you can lay the wire down.

I like the Duratrax the best.

+1 for the castle plugs.
 they have bigger too, but I like the 4mm ones linked in post #2. |
I use these:

I don't think you can beat the castle's. The 4 prong style is def the way to go over the rugular banana ones or whatever. I gave the hobbyking 4 prong ones a try, but they are much weaker than the castle ones, you have to spread them with a knife about everytime you unplug them to keep them tight.

I like the Duratrax ones myself. Nice low profile clean look, they fit nice and tight. Good rule is to route your wires so you can't plug them in backwards.
