Issue with Thunder AC6

I received my return authorization today to return my charger to Amazon. I ordered the charger just under a month ago and have had the chance to only use it twice and now i find that the amber/right arrow/inc button has stopped responding. I guess it's good that I had some basic charge setups in it or I really would be in a bind.

So I guess I'm wondering if I should go with another Thunder AC6 or try a different charger? I liked the features and price point of the AC6. I'm only charging NiMHs as I'm just starting out in the hobby. But I like the fact that I can upgrade to LiPo without having to get another charger.

I guess I'm a little gun shy about getting another AC6 because it had this button issue almost right out of the box. Not to mention the Tech guy I talked to was rude and no help at all. After getting an email from X-Heli asking me to call their tech support, and going around and around with this guy, I was told by this rude "Richard" that I was pretty much SOL and that he would do anything to help me and I had to return the item and order a new one.

So for the money, what other chargers are out there that have the same features?

Thanks for letting me vent!

Might have just been a lemon as most people don't have an issue with it. I personally have had mine for a couple of months now and its working the same as day one.

That charger has a pretty good rep, there have been only a few with probs. Don't rag too much on Hobbypartz - with prices so low, its a little unreasonable to expect anything in the way of customer service. That's their business model.

There's not much in the way of competition for the AC6 level/quality charger. The same basic cahrger from Amain is $100, but you will get customer service from them if you ever need it. That's their business model....

Look familiar?

You might not ever have another prob with a 2nd AC6....

For hobbypartz, the best way to get an issue resolved is to join the forum and go to the section for issues. I called and emailed and got no where in 2 weeks. Once I posted in the forum, I got a response and a week later a replacement item.
