JR SERVOS WHAT A RIP OFF JUNK!
#16

Years ago they had decent servos with good support, now they have crappy servos with crappy support...

I have to agree, JR servos are really bad. The only thing worse is their sevice. IF they decide to fix it, they always write a nasty little note saying its not their fault and this will be the last time they repair it.
I run KO now, so I dont have to worry about repairs.....because they never fail. Does JR even sell any servos anymore? Why would you buy their HV when you can get a RSx for the same price?

I have to admit for the price of servos in General they should have a "Lifetime" no questions asked replacment policy...other than Obvious abuse.
for the price of JR Servos..and there super over priced...they should come with "Dish-Network" or Cable free Wi-Fi for life or something??...LOL
i "Tried a JR servo Once" "Leson Learned"....!!!!!!!!!
for $200.00 you would think it would last..???
but no luck? first mistake? i opened the package..!!! (No seriously)
the best way for me to have doubled my Money was to fold it in Half
and buy a different brand...!!
second mistake...installing it in my car...!!!
before i even hit a track it fried...!! while still on the bench..!!!
so i get the usual info to send items back to the manufacture......
send in with a Note, explaining problem....i figure ok about a week or so?
for just a reply? i wasnt expecting it to get returned in a week..???
so a "MONTH LATER" they finally got back to me to ask
"What was the Problem"....????
i told them i put it in the car turned on car and it did not work?
they said:..."Humm??? ok,we'll get right back to you today or tomorrow"
tic-toc.....tic-toc......
another month goes by...!!!
and in short they tell me was My fault..???
well anyone can probally guess how that conversation went...???
so i was up in arms? and asked,
"Ok fine how much is it going to cost me to fix"
they cat tells me $80.00....
so now it is a $297.00 servo...(199.99 and tax 217.00+80.00)
that was a Year ago........
i am still waiting for my servo..................
so my best advice to Anyone....for those that like the JR servos..
it is great they work...but i never really took any notice of servo failures
"UNTILL MY ORDEAL"...........but i have noticed more JR servo failures than
Savox,HiTech or Airtronics....
but for the "Money" and i have no money restrictions...but it's just if your
going to pay $200.00 it should work...???
not to say one servo is better than others...???
but 200.00 is really pushing it
for electronics that are mass Produced for pennies on the dollar...
a $100.00 is even pushing it.....
but at least with Hitech and Savox they are right on top of
taking care of the customers......
in my Electric 1/8 scales buggy and truggies i have Hitech 7955's
and beat the hell-out'a them...!!!
and in my Nitro fleet i have Hitech 7954's and we all know how hard Nitro is
on cars.....
my kid has Savox 1267's in his Electric buggies
and the Savox 1268's in his Nitros...and he had one problem and they took care of him right away..!!! best part the local Hobby shop was able
to handle the return...!!!!
i guess the JR still is good in plaes or Heli's
but for off road cars be best to get Hitech's or Savox servos.....

I ran futaba for a long time with no issues and recently switched to ko propo and haven't looked back, honestly the best servos I've EVER used period!

Agreed, I use to really like their servos but now just like anything else horizon touches they've turned to crap....
Really!? I've owned several hitec servos and have found them to be even shittier than Jr.

I completely agree on the ko servos they are the best on the market and no warranty at all. But send it in for repair and I bet it's around $20. I blew a ko 409 receiver and it cost me $19 to fix it. I have been running the ko rsx servos in my buggy for over a year without issues and now they have migrated to all my vehicles.

Stay away from JR.
Not good any more.

interesting... I am getting ready to send in a servo I found while moving that went out on me in a truggy pro series main (I was winning BTW) lol
will let you guys know what happens..
also sending in 6 Hitec servos to get looked at that I found also, I know 2 of them dont center but for some genious reason I threw them all in the same bag and cant tell which is which! hopefully they can sort them out!
and since I am at it might as well send in a few futaba servos I have that need fixed but futaba has always been top notch in the past so no worries there.
oh yeah and a spektrum with a blown motor!!!
I will keep you guys posted.

WOW ! That sounds like me. I have had something wrong about all brands, but for the money of JR.... Hmmm, I think there service should be above others.

You must be doing something wrong or using the wrong servo for its application.
