CC BEC install, Having a few problems

I have a Sidewinder ESC
I connected the CC BEC as the wiring shows on the sheet that came with the BEC. I am able to set the BEC and set the voltage to 6v

I have removed the red + wire in ther ESC connector at the receiver. With the BEC plugged into the battery port and everything else plugged in. Nothing works. The red light on the receiver comes on red at 1st than turns off. the ESC just beeps at me.

Also with the Red wire disconnected from the ESC connector. How do you hook the Castle link to the ESC? All you have now to plug into is the BEC

Use a servo extension lead and remove the red wire from it instead of the esc plug

You are connecting it according to this diagram ?

100% to that diagram.

I found I have to connect the Castle link to the BEC before I plug the Battery in for the power to be able to read it.

After looking around on here I may get a Servo "Y" harness and connect it to the servo instead of how it is now.

The problem I was having was the New Spektrum 6040 Servo would kill the power to the receiver and I would loose everything for a second or two. Hoping it fixes it this way. But the Wiring I found for running it to the servo looks much better
