how to change accucel to '2s'?
hi new Lipo user here. How do I change from 1s to 2s on the charger please? The other thread is too big and I can't see the answer. Also do I need to connect the - what looks like a servo wire - from the "Turnigy 4000mAh 2S 30C hardcase" battery while doing a normal charge? Thanks, this is my 1st time using it.

Begin by hooking up the battery. Positive to positive, negative to negative. The small white plug with the three wires is the balance plug. This must be plugged in to the charger while charging.
Select LiPo mode using button using the first button (Batt. Type). press Start/Enter. Select Balance using using the second and third buttons and press enter. The lower left number should now be flashing. This is the charge rate in amps. Change it to 4.0A for a 1C charge. Press Enter again and the lower right number should flash. Change that to 7.4V(2S). Hold Enter/Start for 2-3 seconds. A chime will sound as the charger checks that the battery is connected and that the settings are correct. Press enter again to begin charging. While charging, you can press > to check individual cell voltages or press < to check other information. After the charger has been set, it will keep those settings the next time it is turned on, so you may just hold down enter on the balance screen to begin charging immediately. There are 4 other options you have while using this charger in LiPo mode. Charge - Using this will charge the battery. Individual cells will still be balanced, but the charger will not take the extra time to balance cells as closely as using Balance mode charging. Fast Chg - Use to quickly charge batteries without balancing the cells. It will charge faster, but increases the chance of over or under-charging a cell. It only saves about 5 -10 minutes and isn't really worth it. Storage - Balances each cell to 3.8V through charging and discharging. Use this when you plan on not using the cells for an extended period of time, ie two weeks or more. This helps prolong the life of the pack. Discharge - Do not use this function. LiPo batteries do not like to be fully discharged. Using this funtion may damage the pack permanently. |
